Ward 9 desires to grow and develop the next generation of worshipers in 3 areas.
1- Lead by example - Ward 9 began as a worship band and we will continue to serve in this capacity at youth retreats, summer camps, in our local churches, and in any other areas where we have the opportunity to lead people in worship.
2 - Training - In our time as a band, and as youth leaders in our local church, one of the things that has driven us to start Ward 9 Ministries is that our youth have significant amounts of talent, however that talent is not always honed and pointed in the right direction. Our desire to bring students out of their basements and garages and truly teach them the skills in music, technology, and leadership that will allow them to effectively minister with their talents in today's world.
3 - Practical Opportunities - again, in our experience, we see that more and more often, the opportunities that students are getting to use their talents are in venues and businesses that are not wholesome or God-honoring. Our long term desire is to renovate an existing building, staff it, and run it as a training center, coffee house, and christian music venue where our students can have a place to both meet with friends, and showcase their talents. Our goal is to provide a venue that can be used to showcase students who are involved in our training programs, bring in national Christian acts for entertainment, and also make this venue available to the local church.
